JUSTIN'S STORY

Justin on work experienceWhat I want people to know about cerebral palsy....

Cerebral palsy is a physical condition that can affect things like speech and movement, but no matter what the type or the severity, it does not affect our emotions ... Our ability to laugh, cry or get angry!

We also have hopes, goals and dreams. Growing up with cerebral palsy has made me more determined, and made me realise that I can achieve too. To do whatever it takes to reach that goal. Justin at a soccer match If you try your hardest to succeed, you can, and will, reach your goals! There will always be obstacles along the way, but if you just give it a go, it's really worth it in the end.

So, don't underestimate someone with cerebral palsy because what we may lack physically, we make up for in determination and spirit.

Inclusion brings acceptance and acceptance helps to fulfil dreams. So get to know us, the person behind the disability. You might be surprised how much we have in common.
