On Sunday 11 March 2007, The Hon Tony Abbott MP, Minister for Health and Ageing, joined Macquarie Bank staff and other participants who once again put their fitness and fundraising skills to the test in the annual 20/Twenty Challenge – an endurance event that raises vital funds for The Spastic Centre.

Held for the past four years, the 20/Twenty Challenge is not for the faint-hearted. In teams of four, participants headed off at dawn into the chilly waters of Shelly Beach, Manly for a 2km swim before donning their runners for the 20km walk around the foreshore to Clifton Gardens, Mosman with a family lunch.
This year, a wide range of participants registered including senior executives from Macquarie Bank and sporting identities Richard Harry, Jason Little and David Wilson.

Supported by the Macquarie Bank Foundation and Macquarie Bank Sports the 20/Twenty Challenge raised an amazing $500,000 at this years event; taking the total amount raised since 2004 to $1.3 million.
Once again we would like to give our special
thanks to the Macquarie Bank Foundation who
is the major sponsor of the event.
