Fundraising Events: Col Crawford Charity Golf Day 2007

Col Crawford as Robyn HoodCol Crawford OAM followed his philanthropic values and chose a Robin Hood theme to celebrate his 24th consecutive Col Crawford Charity Golf Day. The day was a huge success and raised $120,000 for The Spastic Centre, taking Col’s total fundraising efforts to more than $2 million.

Col’s sponsors and guests joined the spirit of the day with 136 golfers adopting the Robin Hood theme - green caps and feathers aplenty! Even Maid Marion and Little John were spotted on Cromer Golf Course. Sponsors for the day included; Winning Appliances, St George Bank, Westpac Bank, Harrier National, Prime Constructions, Castrol, Balmain N.B. Commercial Mortgages and Aristocrat.

As always, there was a fantastic range of auction items such as holidays to Noumea and Tasmania, golf retreats at Tallwoods and Cypress Lakes Resort, and a Noritake dinner set and Weber barbeque from Joe’s BBQ.

Rob White, CEO of The Spastic Centre was thrilled with the day’s results saying, ‘Col certainly knows how to entertain while raising much needed funds for The Centre. We can’t thank the Crawford family enough for their on-going support of children with CP’.
