
The 11th Might And Power Gala Race Day was held at Rosehill Race Course on Saturday 19th July to aid The Spastic Centre. Nick Moraitis AM, and Paul Simons AM hosted the day, with Hon John Brown AO acting as Master of Ceremonies. All three men are long standing supporters of The Spastic Centre. Their efforts over the last 10 years have changed the lives of hundreds of children with cerebral palsy.
More than $300,000 was raised with the generous help from sponsors. Shangri-La donated a holiday to Fiji and Flame Opals donated a stunning $15,000 Opal. Sydney City Toyota raffled a stylish Toyota Yaris.

All proceeds from the Gala Race day support The Spastic Centre's children therapy services for rural families.
The Spastic Centre’s Rural Services continues to grow and now assists over 950 children in NSW and the ACT. Since 2003, 10 new sites have been established in
Raymond Terrace, Wagga Wagga, Coffs Harbour, Armidale, Dubbo, Orange, Singleton, Moruya, Nowra and Spence, ACT.
Race fans who remembered the speed and stamina of Might and Power were thrilled by his special appearance on the day. The famous racehorse has now retired from the “Sport of Kings” and is enjoying life at the prestigious Living Legends property in Melbourne.
To date, The Might And Power Race Day has raised over two million dollars for The Spastic Centre’s rural programs for children - a truly amazing achievement.
