An excellent opportunity exists for Registered Nurses to join the great team at The Spastic Centre’s Venee Burges House at Allambie Heights. Venee Burges House has been established for over 30 years and is an accommodation house for people with varying disabilities, predominantly cerebral palsy.
Our Registered Nurses work with other experienced support/direct
care staff and are responsible for ensuring that the total care of
residents including planning, assessment, evaluation and delivery of care is carried out in accordance with the individual needs of the resident.
This role is based in Allambie Heights on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Venee Burges House is close to public transport and has free on-site parking.
There are various hours and shifts available - will be required to work some night shifts.
Must have:
- Current registration with the Nurses and Midwives Board of NSW
- Knowledge/Experience in working in aged care
- Demonstrated initiative and motivation to contribute to the enhancement of the lives and environment in which you work
- High level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously as well as a part of a team
- Knowledge of the Disability Services Act and Standards, OH&S Legislation and Infection Control Practices
