Employment Development Officer - Sydney Employment Development Services (SEDS)
I currently work as an Employment Development Officer for SEDS. We assist adult clients establish and maintain mainstream employment. We do this via vocational counselling, motivation, preparing a client for job placement, marketing with potential employers, interview skills, resume and cover letter writing, and post placement supports.
I enjoy my role because I have the opportunity to work with a fantastic team who are totally dedicated to their clients and a very supportive management team who are wonderful with their guidance and encouragement.
When I leave the office at the end of every day, I feel proud that I have contributed to making a difference in someone else’s life and future. It’s a truly wonderful feeling knowing that you have yourself accomplished your own goals and helped others reach theirs.
The Spastic Centre is an amazing organisation to work for. It has a great deal to offer its employees both from a professional and personal perspective. The Spastic Centre is family friendly and very encouraging to everyone.
I look forward to developing my knowledge and skills and furthering my growth within The Spastic Centre.
