My history at The Spastic Centre
Where haven’t I worked at The Spastic Centre! The Spastic Centre has allowed me to develop skills in many areas – including staff occupational therapist; senior clinician OT; acting manager, Early Childhood program; Pathways Coordinator and Team Leader. I currently work at the Allambie Heights and Penshurst sites, but have also worked in Gosford and Regents Park.
What do I like about my role?
I have a busy life but every day is different and challenging.
I feel a great sense of achievement when I see the team working together with the family for the benefit of the child with a disability. The smile on a child’s face when they have achieved something that seemed impossible is just wonderful!
Opportunities I have had
I have completed my Certificate IV in Business (Frontline Management) thanks to the support of The Spastic Centre. This has allowed me to broaden my skills beyond the realm of therapy and given me a career direction for the future.
The Spastic Centre has a lot to offer, from both a professional and personal perspective.
