We bring families together to deliver information and education and, most importantly, to enable them to share their knowledge, resources and coping skills, as well as to provide support to one another.
What I like about my role?
I love the flexibility of working on a range of projects. I need to use different skills at different times.
I love the variety and at times unpredictability of what might materialize and require my attention.
What do I get out of my role?
I love the interaction with families (and my co-facilitators). I enjoy having some small part that I might enact, which however tiny, adds something positive to the inner world of the participants within my groups.
I have been encouraged to be creative in my work applications (and thus to also satisfy a need for creativity).
The other important aspect has been my colleagues and work mates. I enjoy the connections we build with each other on an informal and friendly basis and the humour we share.
