Table Hand - Business Services
I have worked at The Centre's Business Services for 15 years.
I’ve worked at the old site at Brookvale and now here at Frenchs Forest.
My work day starts at 8 am. I travel by taxi to the work site with two other colleagues as we share a house together. My main role is in the area of Lock & Key. I also work with print material and getting items ready for despatch.
What I like about my role?
When a job comes in, I enjoy switching off from everything else and throwing myself into it. I enjoy the opportunity to support new employees and co-workers. The social aspect of work is very important to me.
My team includes...
Co-workers, supervisors, Employment Development Officers, a Site Manager, a Business Unit Manager, a Keyworker and Community Support Workers.
What I get out of my role?
Independence, a feeling of satisfaction of a job well done. I enjoy going home at the end of the day and knowing I did a great job and I can relax and prepare for the next day.
Opportunities I have had...
Learning and development, travel, experiences, mentoring, etc.
I participate on the Management Committee and act as a voice for my co-workers.
