Maximising people's employment potential

SEDS is the open employment arm of The Spastic Centre, a program
funded by DEWR and DADHC to assist people with a disability secure employment opportunities. The program is a free service.

People with a disability have two employment options:

Open Employment

These are jobs in the open labour market, where the individual is competing against the general population for jobs in the commercial, government or community sectors. For most people with a disability this is a viable option,
once they are provided with the skills and support to secure a job.

Transition To Work (TTW) Program

SEDS can offer an individualised employment preparation program for school leavers utilising Transition To Work (TTW) funding. Find out more (PDF iconPDF).

Supported Employment
For many people with a disability a supported employment environment, such as TSC Business Services, is the only option available due to the nature and severity of their disability.

Whatever your choice of employment option, SEDS may be able to guide you.
