Ryan has CP and has just completed his HSC at William Carey Christian school. Ryan works part time at KFC and is enrolling in TAFE next year to study IT. The following notes are extracted from his school website:
"Learning to write a feature article in English has certainly paid off for Ryan Corfield (Year 12, 2007). Ryan who has been in the ALC throughout High School, has combined the skills he has learned in English and his passion for slot car racing to write a feature article that was published in the September 13 edition of Dragster magazine.
Ryan wrote a 2,500 word article reviewing the Slot Car Nationals and said he was very happy with the result. 'There was very little editing done to my article,' said Ryan. He said that many people had read the article since its publication and have told him that it was 'a good read, in spite of the jargon'. Ryan has written a number of press releases and articles for a website specialising in drag racing. A copy of the article Ryan wrote is available from Miss Rule, Coordinator of High School Advanced Learners."
