About TSC: History of The Spastic Centre: Archives


Our Archive are of interest to people researching the history of disability, medical, therapy and special education services.

The Centre's archives consist of:

Newsletters from the archive - Photographic collection tracking the development of The Spastic Centre at Mosman and Allambie Heights, NSW
- Administrative records pertaining to the development of services for people with cerebral palsy and their
families, including Centre Industries at Allambie Heights
- Newsletters and ephemera from the period 1948 to 1980
- Medical and therapy library dating from the 1940s relating to cerebral palsy, paediatrics, neurology, therapy, child development and the education of children with special needs.

Over 60 minutes - $35/hour

A4 page or smaller - 20 cents/page

Conditions of Access:
Access to persons 18 years and over.
Access by appointment only.
Material may be viewed on site, but is not available for loan.
Material will be retrieved with the assistance of library staff. Charges may apply for lengthy consultations.
Some material may be copied with permission.
