We aim to give children with disabilities the same opportunities as their able bodied peers to participate in swimming in a supportive yet competitive environment.
Our club started in August 2005 with 10 swimmers and is based at the Captain Ron Patrick Memorial Pool at Frenchs Forest. We are part of the Aquability program at The Spastic Centre.
The pool was opened in 1982 and was purpose built to cater for people with a disability. Captain Ron Patrick, who was the grandfather of a child with cerebral palsy funded the building of the pool. The pool water is maintained at a temperature of 32-34 degrees C.
