The Spastic Centre holds a range of information sessions for people with cerebral palsy and their families throughout the year.

Behaviour Management for Children with Special Needs This session offers parents an opportunity to share their own experience along with tips, advice and suggestions for dealing with difficult behaviour. Topics will include: understanding the common triggers and causes of challenging behaviour planning ahead to prevent difficulties from occurring helping children to learn new skills and behaviour strategies for managing problem behaviours when they occur. Building Resilience in Children with Special Needs This session offers parents an opportunity to share their own experience along with tips, advice and suggestions for strengthening emotional resilience in their children. Topics will include: helping children learn more about their feelings and how to talk about them helping children learn new coping skills and behaviours fostering life skills to help children confidently manage stressful situations.
